AWK6943

The AWK6943 is a 36 V, 3 A synchronous step-down regulator qualified to AEC-Q100. It integrates both MOSFETs, the compensation network and the protection circuitry into a 3 × 3 mm QFN-8, so the external component count is small. The 36 V input rating is what allows it to survive the load-dump-adjacent transients present on an automotive battery rail without relying entirely on an external clamp.
Overview
The AWK6943 is a 36 V, 3 A synchronous step-down regulator from Analogwin with a 30 µA quiescent current. The datasheet specifies an input range of 3.0 V to 36 V, a fixed 410 kHz switching frequency, a 1.5 % reference over -40 to +125 °C and a typical minimum on-time of 40 ns, all from integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs with peak current mode control and fast loop response.
Protection includes cycle-by-cycle current limit with hiccup mode, undervoltage lockout and thermal shutdown, and the 3 A output is delivered in a compact package footprint. Typical uses are automotive camera modules, instrument clusters and other always-on 12 V or 24 V rails that must tolerate wide input swings.
