The P24C64C is a 64 Kbit serial EEPROM on an I²C bus. EEPROM is still the standard choice for data that changes rarely and must survive power loss — calibration constants, serial numbers, user settings — because it can be written at the byte level and retains data without power. The 1 MHz I²C interface keeps write time short. Endurance is rated at 4 million write cycles.
Overview
The P24C64C is a 64 Kbit I2C-compatible serial EEPROM from PUYA. The array holds 8 Kbyte organised in 32-byte pages, and the device accepts 400 kHz or 1 MHz clocks from 1.7 V to 5.5 V. Typical read current is 0.2 mA and write current 0.6 mA at 400 kHz, and the self-timed write cycle completes within 5 ms. Sequential and random reads, 32-byte page writes and partial page writes are all supported.
An additional 128-bit serial number is factory programmed, and endurance is rated at 4 million write cycles with data retention specified across the product life. The part is offered in PDIP8, SOP8 (150 mil), MSOP8, TSSOP8, UDFN8, SOT23-5 and WLCSP4, which lets one memory type be reused across several board outlines.
