The KTH7812 is a 16-bit magnetic Hall angle encoder intended for servo motor feedback. Overview
The KTH7812 is a 16-bit magnetic Hall angle encoder from CONNTEK aimed at servo and high-speed BLDC feedback. The product manual specifies 16-bit absolute angle output with a non-linearity (INL) below ±0.35°, an output noise of about 0.015° (1 sigma) and a temperature drift of 0.002°/°C. The angle register is refreshed every 1 µs and the part starts up in 1 ms, so it does not become the limiting element in a fast control loop.
Supply options are 3.0 – 3.6 V or 4.5 – 5.5 V, the magnetic working range is 30 – 150 mT and the maximum tracking speed is stated as 120,000 rpm. Outputs are programmable ABZ (4 to 4096 steps per revolution) and UVW (1 to 8 pole pairs) for drives expecting quadrature or commutation signals, with SPI for configuration stored in on-chip MTP. The package is QFN-16L, rated -40 to +125 °C.
