e.MMC 5.1 Series
e.MMC 5.1 embedded storage in capacities up to 128 GB. The advantage of e.MMC over raw NAND is that the controller, wear levelling and bad-block management are integrated in the package, so the host sees a simple block device rather than having to manage the flash itself. HS400 mode with 1, 4 or 8-bit bus widths sets the interface speed.
Overview
Key features
- Integrated controller removes host-side flash management
- HS400 mode for higher sustained throughput
- Standard e.MMC interface supported by mainstream SoCs
Typical applications
- Industrial computing and HMI storage
- Consumer embedded platforms
- Data logging and media storage
