APS512XXN-OB9-BG

Manufacturer: AP Memory

The APS512XXN-OB9-BG doubles the density of the 256 Mbit part to 512 Mbit on the same octal interface. It is used where the working set is larger than a single frame — power grid collection terminals, for example, buffer readings from many meters before transmission. Reliability of the stored data matters in that role, so the memory is used with an error-checking scheme at the system level.

Overview

The APS512XXN-OB9-BG is the 512 Mbit member of the AP Memory PSRAM family, organised as 64 M x 8 bits in X8 mode or 32 M x 16 bits in X16 mode with 1024 words per page. Like the smaller part it runs from a 1.62 – 1.98 V supply and uses the OPI or HPI interface with two bytes or two words per clock, reaching a 250 MHz clock rate.

Typical standby current is 80 µA at 25 °C in HalfSleep mode, with a maximum of 1360 µA at 85 °C and 2200 µA at 105 °C. The operating range covers -40 to +85 °C standard and -40 to +105 °C extended, in a BGA 24-ball package. The density suits data buffering and larger working-memory roles in embedded systems.
